About CalcLioro

CalcLioro exists because most online calculators are slower and heavier than the maths they perform. We build the opposite: a single page, a handful of fields, and an answer that appears while you are still typing.

What we build

There are currently 18 calculators grouped into four categories: Finance, Health, Student, Everyday. Each one covers a question people genuinely need answered — what a loan really costs, whether a body mass index sits in a healthy band, what score is needed on a final exam, how to split a restaurant bill fairly.

Every calculator is pure client-side JavaScript. There is no server doing the arithmetic, no database storing your numbers, and no request sent when you press a key. Once the page has loaded, everything happens on your device.

How we handle formulas

We use the standard published formula for each field rather than an in-house approximation. Loan and EMI payments use the reducing-balance amortisation formula banks use. BMR uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, currently the most accurate general-purpose option. BMI categories follow WHO adult thresholds. Unit conversions use exact internationally agreed factors, such as one inch being precisely 25.4 millimetres.

Every calculator page includes a "How it's calculated" section written in plain English, so you can check the maths yourself rather than trusting a black box.

What we are not

CalcLioro is not a financial adviser, a lender, a clinician or a dietitian. Results are estimates for planning and comparison. Real lender quotes include fees and credit decisions; real health advice accounts for your history and body composition. Use these numbers to prepare for that conversation, not to replace it.

Feedback and corrections

If a result looks wrong, it matters to us. We test each calculator against worked examples before publishing, but edge cases exist. Corrections and requests for new calculators shape what gets built next.
