How to use this calculator

How it's calculated
Adding tax: tax = price x rate / 100, and total = price + tax.
Removing tax from an inclusive price: pre-tax = total / (1 + rate / 100), and tax = total - pre-tax.
The second case is not the same as subtracting the percentage from the total, which is the most common mistake with VAT maths.
