How it's calculated
Amount saved = original price x discount percentage / 100.
Final price = original price - amount saved, which is the same as price x (1 - discount/100).
Stacked discounts multiply rather than add: 20% then 10% off is 0.8 x 0.9 = 28% off, not 30%.
